American School Counselor Association Mindsets & Behaviors For Student Success

Napoleon Hill is famous as the originator of personal improvement. His influential books and ideas have helped countless people to reach their own goals for decades now. Napoleon Hill dedicated twenty-five years of his life researching the why of people failure. From the brilliant ideas and research of one of America’s greatest self-help authors, here are seventeen Napoleon Hill quotes to inspire you to consider greatness…

I think twice before I talk, because your words can plant the seed of success or failure in my mind. Napoleon Hill said,”I have learned that what a man can do, that a person can accomplish.” Never underestimate the power of the spoken word, especially when it comes to achieving your targets. Napoleon Hill said,”A man with the skill to operate successfully and efficiently, but who does not expect to be successful, is like a man with a wheel who doesn’t know how to use his tool; he believes but does not do.”

I think twice before I do, because only your mind on a certain goal and action can prepare you for it and set you free. Napoleon Hill said,”You must be assured that the power of thought and of action are combined, and that these two are inseparable.” The brain controls your body and spirit, your soul controls your mind. Napoleon Hill said,”A man is but the product of his thoughts what he has done, and the man of actions is but the result of his ideas, preparations, and efforts.”

If you can not do great things in a great way, do small things in a terrific way. Napoleon Hill wrote,”I often hear it said, don’t go beyond your abilities. Nothing can be farther from the truth. You may reach your targets but do not go beyond your attainments.”

Napoleon Hill said,”A man’s work isn’t done when his job is finished; a man’s job is begun then and continued ” Do you want your dreams, desires, and aims to be accomplished? Then first comes believed, then there is an implementation, then there is measuring, and then there is seeing the end results. Napoleon Hill wrote,”First come the ideas, then come the implementation, then will be the measures, and last but not least will be the joy of the result.”

Napoleon Hill also stated,”The limits of the human mind are permeable; neither can they be hidden, even though the soul may escape for a time the scrutiny of the average individual.” Do not put forth your objectives, keep them within your reach, for when you have attained them you will be able to see and understand their greatness. If you can not accomplish anything in your life by the power of your will alone, then it is not within the scope of your energy, for will is only an outward form of the interior force that moves outwards toward its objective.

Napoleon Hill also said,”If you expect to climb to the top of the mountain by keeping steadily in place, you will fail; keep on moving, and before you know it you will be standing at the top with the mountain at your back.” Both poverty and riches are the offspring of the same mind, the brain which believe a goal is a dream with a physical goal, and that when that objective is achieved there’s no need to keep on working to achieve it. A positive mind sees a way it can become a success, and a negative mind looks for all the reasons why it can not or won’t.

Napoleon Hill was right about many things, and in his book Think and Grow Rich, he explained why there are no limits to the mind except those we assemble. That’s why he said,”The greatest discovery of my generation is that a man can alter his life by changing the thought which he receives from his surroundings.” So, if you believe that there are no reasons why you cannot become a success and poverty and wealth will not stop flowing, then you are either not aware of them, or you’re creating them yourself. You can make a difference in this world and take charge of your own destiny.
